We’re starting out our Sunday with dense fog in much of northern Minnesota and part of northwestern Wisconsin. Dense fog advisories continue until 10 a.m. today in those areas:
Southern Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin could have some patchy areas of dense fog early this morning.
Steamy
Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 80 degrees this time of year. The metro area will probably reach the upper 80s this Sunday.
Highs will be well into the 80s in most spots this afternoon, with some lower 90s in southwestern Minnesota:
Northeastern Minnesota will see a few 70s.
Sunday afternoon dew points will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s in many locations, so it’ll feel steamy:
Thunderstorm chances
Northwestern Minnesota may see some scattered thunderstorms by late Sunday afternoon, with the thunderstorms spreading across much of northern Minnesota Sunday evening. Northern and central Minnesota plus northwestern Wisconsin may see scattered thunderstorms at times overnight.
