After a two-week respite, Formula 1 is shifting back into racing gear this Sunday.
F1 drivers have already been through two triple-headers and are about to start a third this week in Belgium, and they're doing it in style with the Belgian Grand Prix at the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit, one F1's very best.
The Formula 1 schedule that started at just 13 races has now ballooned to 17, with Abu Dhabi GP playing the ultimate race, per usual. With those races on the schedule (down from an originally scheduled 22), the F1 season is likely all full up unless FIA manages to squeeze in one or two more races during off weeks.
As it stands, Lewis Hamilton is once again lapping the field with 132 points through five races, five appearances on the podium and four victories on the year. Max Verstappen had made things interesting, finishing on the podium in all but the debut race on the year and taking a win ahead of both Mercedes at the 70th Anniversary GP in early August.

In 2019, Charles Leclerc took home the top podium spot with Hamilton and Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas finishing second and third respectively. Leclerc and Team Ferrari haven't exactly had the same results early on this year, with two podiums and 61 constructor points on the season through five races.

Formula 1 schedule 2020
F1 in July released an update to what is now a 17-race schedule that runs through at least the end of October, though the organization hopes run to a total of 15-18 races before the season ends in December.
"We currently expect the opening races to be closed events, but hope fans will be able to join our events again when it is safe to do so," F1 said in June. "The health and safety of all involved will continue to be priority number one, with Formula 1 and the FIA having a robust and detailed plan to ensure our races maintain the highest level of safety with strict procedures in place."
