HOUSTON – It was a chaotic Wednesday for the U.S. Capital after angry supporters of President Donald Trump stormed into the federal building over election results.

The protestors forced a halt to congressional deliberations over challenges to Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory. The protesters fought with Capitol Police and then forced their way into the building, not long after a huge rally near the White House, according to The Associated Press.

Senators were evacuated and some House lawmakers tweeted they were sheltering in place in their offices.

A crowd of Trump supporters was also seen gathering out of the Capitol of Texas.

Many members, Republican and Democrat, of the Texas congressional denounced the violent actions of protesters.
