Supermarket chain Stop & Shop will shutter another New Jersey store.

Stop & Shop recently announced plans to close its Highland Park location.

The grocery store located at 424 Raritan Ave. is expected to close some time in 2023, although an exact date has yet to be determined.

“After a detailed review of the operating performance of our stores, we have made the difficult decision to not renew our lease at our store located at 424 Raritan Ave in Highland Park, NJ,” Stefanie Shuman, external communications manager for Stop & Shop, told NJ Advance Media. “All store associates will have the opportunity to transfer to other area Stop & Shop locations.”

The company closed stores in Dayton (South Brunswick) and Paramus earlier this year.

Nearby Stop & Shop stores are located in East Brunswick, Edison, Franklin and Piscataway.

There are currently 58 Stop & Shop stores in the Garden State and over 400 stores throughout New England, New Jersey and New York.
