BLANDFORD, OTIS, BECKET, LEE — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announces crews will be conducting daytime and nighttime bridge and guardrail repair operations at various times and locations on Interstate 90, eastbound and westbound, in Blandford, Otis, Becket, and Lee. The work will take place Monday, May 24–Friday, May 28. Overnight hours of work will be 7 p.m.–5 a.m. Daytime hours of work will primarily be between 7 a.m. and 3:30 or 4 p.m. The work will require temporary intermittent lane closures. Drivers will be able to travel through work zones.
The locations and schedules for the bridge and shoulder repair operations are as follows:
Blandford
Bridge repair operations will be conducted on I-90 westbound, at mile marker 30, on Monday, May 24 and Tuesday, May 25 from 7 a.m.–4 p.m.
Otis
Bridge repair operations will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound, at mile marker 23, from Monday, May 24–Thursday, May 27 from 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Becket
Bridge repair operations will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound, at mile marker 15.9, from Monday, May 24–Thursday, May 27 from 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Lee
Bridge repair operations will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound, at mile marker 10, on Monday, May 24 and Tuesday, May 25 from 7 a.m.–4 p.m.
Becket/Lee
Guardrail repair operations will be conducted nightly on I-90 eastbound and westbound, from mile marker 19 to mile marker 22, on Monday, May 24–Thursday, May 27 from 7 p.m.–5 a.m.
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advance message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.
MassDOT encourages drivers to seek alternate routes, reduce speed, and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone.
These operations are weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
