Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrests- Rehoboth Beach - news.delaware.gov

Rehoboth Beach- The Delaware State Police have arrested three suspects after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs.

The incident occurred on Friday, May 1, 2020, at approximately 10:48 a.m., when a Trooper observed a light blue Jeep Cherokee fail to stop at a stop sign on Holland Glade Road at Coastal Highway. A traffic stop was initiated, and contact was made with the occupants of the vehicle, operator, 30-year-old Zachary Caras and passengers, 48-year-old Anthony Didomenicis, and 35-year-old Suzanne Talbot, all from Lewes. Through investigative measures and numerous criminal indicators observed during the traffic stop, the occupants were asked to exit the vehicle. Located in Caras’ right front pocket and the vehicle was drug paraphernalia. Drug paraphernalia was also located in a bag Talbot had in her possession with two bundles of heroin concealed on her person inside her clothing.   Located in Didomenicis’ right cargo pocket were two bundles of heroin, drug paraphernalia, and $1,164.00 USC suspected of being proceeds from drug sales. A total of approximately .42 grams of heroin was seized from the traffic stop.

Caras, Didomenicis, and Talbot were transported to Troop 7, where they were each charged and arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court.

Caras was charged with the following crimes and released on a $2,801.00 unsecured bond.

  • Failure to Stop at Stop Sign

Didomenicis was charged with the following crimes and released on a $4,800.00 unsecured bond.

  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree (felony)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Fail to Obey Emergency Order

Talbot was charged with the following crimes and released on a $4,800.00 unsecured bond.

  • Possession With Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance (felony)
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree (felony)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Failure to Obey Emergency Order
