SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A South Bend woman was incarcerated for dealing cocaine following a traffic stop where Indiana State troopers found cocaine, marijuana, and more than $7,000, stated the Indiana State Police (ISP).
On Jan. 22, 2021, at around 3:00 p.m., an ISP trooper with the Bremen Post All Crimes Policing team stopped a red Dodge pickup truck for a moving violation on Huron street.
During this stop, the report stated, an ISP K9 conducted a free-air sniff on the Dodge and alerted the trooper to the odor of narcotics.
A subsequent search turned up approximately 10 grams of suspected marijuana, several packages of suspected cocaine weighing around 8 grams, and more than $7,000.
The passenger, identified as a local woman of South Bend was preliminarily arrested for dealing cocaine, possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana and was transported to St. Joseph County Jail, stated the report.
