Ivanka Trump made a stop Friday in Bucks County as part of the campaign in support of her father’s re-election.

President Donald Trump’s daughter made a brief unannounced stop at Tabora Farm and Orchard in Hilltown Township in the afternoon as she crossed the state. She visited a food bank in Lancaster County and spoke on behalf of her father’s re-election effort in Chester County.

Tabora Farm and Orchard owners Caleb and Patricia Torrice and their children greeted Trump, who works as a federal employee in the White House along with her husband, Jared.

The first daughter talked to the Torrices about their business and their kids returning to school. She shopped the farm store and picked up several cookies and other baked goods.

While the event was not announced in advance and only lasted a few minutes, a handful of Trump supporters arrived and waited to get their glimpse of the president’s daughter and trailing Secret Service protective detail. Several passerbys slowed to see what was happening after they spotted state police troopers and federal special agents.

On a day when her father was facing extreme criticism after reporting from The Atlantic, Fox News, Associated Press, and other news organizations indicating he made insulting comments about the military, there was little talk of politics at the quick stop in Bucks County.

Caleb Torrice is a Republican township supervisor in Hilltown Township and gained attention during a battle over use of the business property with the municipality, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Pennsylvania is a key battleground state in the 2020 election. The president, vice president, and Democratic candidate Joe Biden, the former vice president, have recently campaigned in the Keystone State.

Lara Trump, the president’s daughter in law, campaigned in Doylestown Borough on Monday.

Bucks County, known for being a moderate area, went to Democrat Hillary Clinton in 2016 and several polls in late spring showed Biden was ahead.
