Game status: Aaron Jones is INACTIVE for Week 7.

Game day 8:15 a.m. update: Jones has made the trip with the Packers to Houston, but he is a game-time decision, per Tom Pelissero. As the NFL Network reporter note, “Green Bay’s medical staff is always cautious. If Jones isn’t 100%, he won’t go.”

Week 6 did not go well for most members of the Packers offense, as they only managed to score ten points against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Aaron Jones was the lucky player to find the end zone during an otherwise forgettable outing.

The Houston Texans provide a much friendlier match-up in Week 7 and the Packers offense will look to get back on track. Unfortunately, it appears Jones will not be getting a crack at the Texans. He injured his calf at Thursday practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday. However, reporter Aaron Wood tweeted that the team is likely to sit Jones to avoid aggravating the injury.

That means, Jamaal Williams would move into a starting role, with rookie A.J. Dillon serivng in a complementary role. The Packers also promoted Dexter Williams from the practice squa. So, who belongs in your starting lineups? We break down the fantasy analysis below.

Aaron Jones has scored at least one touchdown in each game this season and had received more than 15 touches per game prior to the Week 6 outing in which he only received 10 carries. Even with the small workload in Week 6, Jones managed to find the endzone and compiled 13.1 PPR points. This is a very respectable season low and an indication that Jones belongs in starting lineups regardless of matchup. If by chance he plays, you should start him, but plan on him being absent.

Jamaal Williams was yet another victim of the Buccaneers in Week 6, as he received only 4 carries for 34 yards. He was not targeted in the game. This poor performance came after an excellent Week 4 outing in which he hauled in eight receptions for 95 yards while adding 10 yards on eight carries to total 18.5 fantasy points. Williams will see a boost in the passing game as well as his usual workload of 6-8 carries per game. Against a bad Texans run defense, he turns into a great start.

The Packers spent a second round pick on Dillon and have slowly worked him in. He is coming off his best performance, rusing for 61 yards on five carries against the Bucs. They came in garbage time with the Packers facing a huge deficit, so while it was a positive performance, we can’t put too much into it for projection purposes. That being said, the Texans are a bad run defense.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Sit Aaron Jones unless he’s active, in which case start him in all formats
Start Jamaal Williams as a high ceiling RB2
Sit A.J. Dillon in most formats, but if byes or injuries are hurting you or you’re in a 14+ team league, he’s got some upside as a flex option.
