A Keene man, who fled from Dublin police in his vehicle and then on foot after police attempted to stop his vehicle, has been arrested.
On Thursday, at about 5 p.m., Patrol Officer Brandon Blair of the Dublin Police Department was patrolling on Route 101, when he noticed a vehicle driving completely in the breakdown lane, said Dublin Police Chief Tim Suokko.
Blair recognized the driver of the vehicle as Kyle Kelley, 31, of Keene, and had knowledge that Kelley’s license was currently suspended, Suokko said.
Blair turned around to attempt to pull over Kelley to investigate the offense, but Kelley refused to stop, Suokko said. Kelley allegedly fled from police before pulling into a shared driveway on Route 101, exiting his vehicle, and fleeing into the woods on foot.
Dublin police requested additional resources to search for Kelley, and officers from several neighboring departments, as well as the New Hampshire State Police responded to search the woods around the spot where Kelley left his vehicle, but were ultimately unsuccessful in locating him Thursday, Suokko said.
Dublin police issued a warrant for Kelley, charging him with driving after suspension or revocation of his license, disobeying a police officer and breach of bail conditions.
Kelley was not found on Thursday, but was arrested on the Dublin warrant by the Keene Police Department on Saturday. Keene police processed and released Kelley on bail, with a court date at the 8th Circuit Court in Jaffrey to be determined.
