A temporary nationwide ground stop from the Federal Aviation Administration has been lifted for Southwest Airlines.
The airline requested the ground stop while Southwest Airlines worked on a computer issue, according to the FAA.
Southwest Airlines officials said they experienced network connectivity issues.
Officials said the airline had about 500 cancelations and delays on Tuesday.

The ground stop lasted for about an hour.

The FAA said now that the ground stop is lifted, anyone with follow-up questions should ask the airline at 1-800-435-9792.
Southwest Airlines said customer service wait times might be longer.

Randy Nelson and his family said their flight to Chicago was canceled late Tuesday and rescheduled to Wednesday morning.
“We brought the kids down here to have a good time how we just trying to get back home and now we’re stuck at the airport, unfortunately,” Nelson said. “They just told us we can’t go home so pretty much that’s all I heard.”
Marilyn Tavares and her family said their flight back to Rhode Island was delayed for hours.
“I’m ready to go home. It’s been nice here, but time to go,” Tavares said.
They enjoyed their 10-day vacation here in Orlando but didn’t expect their vacation to end like this.
“Of course, you don’t want to have problems at their airport, it’s already overwhelming checking in with bags and making sure everything fits and all that stuff,” Rebeca Felix said.
Many Southwest Airlines Customers at the Orlando International Airport told News 6 they were given vouchers for hotels or for future travel.
