PEKIN (HOI) - It's something people in Central Illinois do not have the opportunity to see everyday; a 1945 heavy bomber aircraft completely restored.
The B-17 flying fortress 'Yankee Lady' stopped by the Pekin Municipal Airport Wednesday for a quick fuel stop on its way to the Kansas City 4th of July Airshow.
The aircraft is based at Willow Run Airport in Detroit, and owned by the Yankee Air Museum in Belleville, Michigan.
