Troopers in Clare apprehended a 31-year-old man from Roseville during a traffic stop due to weapon charges and warrant arrests.
Officers from the Michigan State Police Mount Pleasant Post conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration plate violation near the City of Clare on July 28 at approximately 6:30 p.m.
During a roadside investigation, troopers discovered a pistol and a pneumatic pistol inside of the vehicle and the driver did not have a Concealed Pistol License.
The driver from Roseville also had a Personal Protection Order (PPO) against him stating not to be in possession of any firearms, a warrant for his arrest, and a suspended driver’s license.
The driver was lodged at the Clare County Jail for Carrying a Concealed Weapon, the PPO Violation, and
Driving on a Suspended License. His arraignment is pending.
