Traffic stop: Interstate-271
During a traffic stop April 14, a second vehicle pulled up behind a patrol car. That car quickly left the area but was stopped by other responding officers.
The driver of the first stopped vehicle, a 20-year-old Cleveland woman, was subsequently cited for having fictitious plates but allowed to leave the area because there were children inside of it.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 21-year-old Cleveland man, was cited for fictitious plates and driving under suspension.
Both drivers were known to each other.
Trespassing: Wilson Mills Road
A Mayfield Heights woman, 50, came to the high school April 13 and caused a disturbance because she was upset about her daughter being picked on by classmates.
Officers later contacted the woman, who apologized for her actions. She was advised that she was being trespassed from the property and told she could be charged with trespassing if she returned.
Welfare check: Aintree Park Drive
Officers were advised April 13 that a boy, 15, left work at Pizzazz because he was very upset that his girlfriend broke up with him. There was concern expressed for his well-being.
The boy was later found at a park in Mayfield Heights and was OK. His parents arrived there and took him to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
Impaired driving: Thornapple Drive
Officers stopped a vehicle around 12:30 a.m. April 15 after finding it driving on a flat tire.
The driver, a 43-year-old resident, failed sobriety tests before he was charged with OVI and cited for driving an unsafe vehicle.
Harassing communication: Wilson Mills Road
A woman reported April 18 that she was receiving harassing messages at her place of work.
Officers learned her email had been hacked and passwords to her social media accounts had been obtained by an unknown person.
Police are investigating.
