Despite its modest appearance, the Best Stop in Scott, La., is considered exactly that by many boudin devotees, where people stand in line to order boudin and cracklins then chow down in parked cars or at the store's one outdoor picnic table.

The small country store known for its delicious Cajun food will be expanding to Katy this year, according to The Best Stop's Facebook page.
"Howdy Texas! We are pleased to announce that the location of the Katy franchise has been selected. In a few short months, Hot Boudin will be available to you at 806 Katy Fort Bend Road. Stay tuned for updates and we will see you soon!" the post reads.

The Best Stop officially opened on November 1, 1986, in Scott, Louisiana. Since then, it's created a bit of a love affair between customers and its assortment of boudin, cracklins and specialty meats.
