Crews with the Douglas Forest Protective Association and the City of Roseburg Fire Department have stopped the forward spread of a fire near Summit Drive, on the south end of Roseburg.
Kyle Reed of DFPA said the fire spread to between three and five acres before it was halted with a wet line. Reed said crews are constructing hand line and dozer liner around the fire. It was reported early Wednesday morning.
