The NFL is back and it’s time for a sizable slate of Sunday action! The season got underway on Thursday with the Kansas City Chiefs impressing in a 34-20 win over the Houston Texans. Clyde Edwards-Helaire is looking legit, Patrick Mahomes remains a beast, and while Deshaun Watson missed DeAndre Hopkins, he was still plenty productive — all praise to garbage time!
We’re back for Sunday’s loaded slate of 13 games. We’ve got nine games at 1 p.m., highlighted by Cam Newton’s debut with the Patriots and Philip Rivers’ debut with the Colts. That’s followed by three games in the 4:05/4:25 p.m. slot, highlighted by Tom Brady’s debut with the Buccaneers. We wrap with Sunday Night Football featuring the Rams opening their new stadium against the Cowboys.
The NFL kicked off Week 6 Sunday with the early London game at 9:30 a.m. between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers. You can be forgiven for either not knowing or still being asleep. The main slate gets underway at 1:00 p.m. and today might have the most balanced day of football watching this season. We get the 9:30 game, then six games at 1:00 p.m., four in the 4:05/4:25 p.m. slot, and then Sunday Night Football. That’s a heck of a day of football!
This might be the first week of the regular season, but there are plenty of questions to consider as you set your lineups. Mike Evans, Kenny Golladay, and a host of other players are on the Week 1 injury report. We’ll be keeping an eye out for news on pertinent players.
We’re all figuring out last minute roster decisions, and that means not only who is not playing this week, but who is playing but might not be the best start in your Week 1 fantasy football lineup. We’ll provide updates on injuries, key start/sit decisions, and more leading up to 1 p.m. kickoffs.

Mike Evans likely to play
This will still be worth tracking, but it’s good news to hear with the Bucs a late kickoff.
#Bucs WR Mike Evans, listed as doubtful just yesterday before being upgraded to questionable, is now likely to play despite his hamstring injury, source said. Evans may be on a pitch count, but barring a setback, there is optimism for him to be on the field against the #Saints.

Mike Williams expected to play
#Chargers WR Mike Williams, who has been battling an AC joint sprain from a few weeks ago, is likely to play today, sources say. It’s not 100% and the team wants to see him warm up. But there is optimism that he’ll be out there against the #Bengals.
