KALMAZOO, MI – Police recovered two guns and ammunition during a traffic stop late Thursday, Nov. 12.
Kalamazoo police stopped the vehicle around 11 p.m. in the 900 block of West Lovell Street after spotting a suspect inside who had an arrest warrant.
While police arrested the suspect with the warrant another occupant of the vehicle fled on foot.
Police arrested the man who ran after a short chase. Police found a concealed firearm near his ankle.
During a search of the vehicle, police found a collapsible rifle, several magazines and multiple rounds of ammunition. Police arrested the two others in the vehicle on weapons charges.
