SANTA ROSA — Three Santa Rosa men were arrested during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon for weapons possession and other violations, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said.

A deputy with a K9 made a stop of a white Cadillac on Bellevue Avenue about 3 p.m. and learned the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. In addition, “The car interior smelled of freshly burnt marijuana,” the office said in a news release.

The driver and two passengers were searched.

“A deputy found a loaded .45 caliber Glock-style handgun” in one of the passenger’s waistband “with no serial number. He was also carrying a high capacity magazine in his pocket,” the office said.

A search of the car turned up a 9mm Glock-style handgun with a 17-round magazine and no serial number under the front passenger seat floor mat, and a loaded semiautomatic rifle with a 30-round magazine and no serial number behind the driver’s seat. Each of the men had prior arrests for firearm possession.

The driver was booked for carrying a concealed gun with a prior felony, possession of an assault weapon, possession of an unconventional pistol, possession of a short-barrel rifle, possession of a large-capacity magazine, being a felon in possession of a gun, possession of a loaded firearm in public, and driving without a valid license. His bail was set at $75,000.

A passenger was booked for carrying a concealed gun with a prior felony, possession of an assault weapon, possession of an unconventional pistol, possession of a short-barrel rifle, possession of a large-capacity magazine, being a felon in possession of a gun, carrying a concealed handgun, and possession of a loaded firearm in public. His bail was set at $30,000.

The other passenger was booked for carrying a concealed gun with a prior felony, prohibitions on firearm access, possession of an assault weapon, possession of an unconventional pistol, possession of a short-barrel rifle, possession of a large-capacity magazine, felon in possession of a gun, possession of a loaded firearm in public, felon in possession of ammunition, and a probation violation. His bail was set at $30,000.
