Drugs, Maxwell Boulevard
A driver was pulled over for speeding at 6:17 a.m. May 13. The driver, a 15-year-old boy, was found with marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia and tobacco products following a K9 alert to drugs inside the car. The driver also had no license and was cited into the Medina County Juvenile Court and was released with additional charges pending, reports said.
Criminal damaging, Town Center Boulevard
A man reported witnessing a tire on his car being slashed while eating dinner at a restaurant at 9:26 p.m. May 21. The victim said he confronted the suspect, who then fled the area. The victim described the suspect as “an older white male, long white hair, driving a black truck with a Florida license plate.” The victim declined to press charges, reports noted.
Warrants, Center Road
A driver and his passenger were arrested on outstanding warrants at 12:02 p.m. May 20 when the driver was pulled over for having a cracked windshield. The driver was found to have a suspended license and a warrant out of Brook Park Police Department for failure to appear. His front seat passenger had multiple warrants for her arrest out of the Parma Police Department. The driver was cited for obstructed view, driving under suspension and driving without a license and was released to Brook Park Police officers. The passenger was turned over to Parma Police.
Drugs, Concord Drive
Police responded to reports of a solicitor driving a tan pick-up truck in the area of Concord Drive at 1:11 p.m. May 21. Police noticed an odor of marijuana inside the truck during the stop and the driver admitted having marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.
Impaired driver, Pearl Road
Police responded to a reckless driver call in the area of Pearl Road and Grafton Road at 10:37 p.m. May 22. The driver was stopped at the intersection of Bruce Drive and Trenton Trail. The driver showed signs of impairment and she later registered a blood-alcohol content of .238 percent, nearly three times the legal limit for intoxication. The driver was cited and taken home by police.
Drunken driver, Pearl Road
A man was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired at 1:20 a.m. May 22. Police had responded to a disturbance called involving the man and his wife. The man failed field sobriety tests and a breath test.
Criminal damaging, Bennington Boulevard
A woman accused her ex-boyfriend of keying her car at 8:02 p.m. May 22. Police questioned the suspect, who denied causing the damage. No charges were filed, but the property manager and the condominium complex where the victim lives told the suspect he is no longer permitted on the property.
