Joshua T. Bryant, 33, of Marion, was charged with possession of methamphetamine related to a traffic stop about 5:50 p.m. Sunday on U.S. Route 33 near East Liberty.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office on patrol in the area observed that the vehicle had an expired registration and initiated the stop.
Upon approach to the vehicle, deputies said the operator, Bryant, was not wearing any clothes from the waist down, and he was asked to get dressed. After he complied, deputies asked him to exit the vehicle while K9 Thor conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle.
The canine alerted on the vehicle, and deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle. A syringe and a plastic bottle cap with a crystal-like substance was recovered. Deputies said the substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Bryant was placed under arrest and lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Damage was heavy to the motorcycle. The driver was not wearing a helmet, according to the crash report. He was cited for failure to control.
OVI arrest logged
Jerry W. Pittman, 44, of 417 Johns Ave., Bellefontaine, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs related to an incident Sunday afternoon.
Deputies received a report about 5:25 p.m. regarding a hotrod complaint in the area of County Road 130. A caller advised that the vehicle had nearly caused several accidents.
Deputies located the vehicle in the area of C.R. 130 and County Road 32 and observed several marked lanes violations with the vehicle. The traffic stop was initiated, and an officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department also arrived on the scene.
While speaking with Pittman, deputies observed signs of impairment. Pittman reportedly told deputies that he had consumed six beers at Indian Lake and he was trying to make it home to his residence.
He declined to participate in field sobriety tests. Pittman was placed under arrest and transported to the jail, where he submitted to a breath test, with a result of 0.232 blood alcohol content. He also was cited for a marked lane violation and open container in a motor vehicle and was released to a sober party.
Summons issued for failure to comply with order of police officer
Kyle K. Bradley, 19, of North Lewisburg, was issued a summons for failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer related to an incident Saturday evening.
Deputies on patrol about 7:45 p.m. in the area of U.S. 33 observed a speed violation with his vehicle of 87 mph in a 70 mph zone and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. However, deputies said Bradley did not yield to the cruiser’s emergency lights and sirens, and instead abruptly exited U.S. 33 onto State Route 540 with using his turn signal.
Deputies said Bradley then continued from the U.S. 33 exit ramp onto S.R. 540 without stopping at the stop sign and continued onto County Road 235a, where he then came to a stop. Deputies said Bradley apologized for his actions during the stop.
K9 Thor was deployed for a free air sniff and he alerted on the vehicle. Deputies conducted a probable cause search, but did not locate any illegal substances in the vehicle. Bradley was also cited for speed and a stop sign violation and was released from the scene.
