Edmonds will be one of five players for Argentina which is one of 16 countries represented in the tournament. The WALA will feature 72 holes of stroke play without a cut with a sudden death playoff to determine a winner in the case of a tie. It will run from Thursday, Nov. 18-Sunday, Nov. 21 at the Pilar Golf Club in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
First round action will begin at 6:30 AM ET on Thursday with Edmonds slated for a 8:30 AM ET tee time. Live results can be found at www.WALAGolf.com.
The champion of the event will receive an invitation to compete in the 2022 AIG Women's Open at Muirfield, an invitation to compete in The Amundi Evian Championship, and an exemption into The Women's Amateur Championship and Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational. Both the champion and runner-up will be invited to play in the South American Amateur Championship, while the top three players will receive an invitation to the next WALA event.
Edmonds currently leads the FGCU women's golf team with a 70.89 scoring average following three fall tournaments. She has produced four rounds at par or better through nine played with a low score of 65. She took second at both the Jupiter Women's Invitational and the Pat Bradley Invitational in October. Her two rounds of 65 this fall tied her school record for the lowest individual round, she also holds the lowest round versus par record at -7 which came during the Pat Bradley Invitational. She posted a hole-in-one at the Jupiter Invitational as part of her 54-hole score of 206 which tied as the second-lowest three-round score in program history and earned her ASUN Golfer of the Week accolades.
For her career, Edmonds holds the single-season scoring average record (72.94) at FGCU along with the record for par-or-better rounds in a season (9) during the 2019-20 campaign. She holds six of the program's 17 lowest round scores highlighted by her two rounds of 65 this fall. Her career scoring average of 73.47 also stands as the school record.

Since taking over the program in 2011, Sarah Trew has guided the Eagles to 48 top-five finishes, including 36 over the past seven seasons. On top of that, she led the program to a pair of second-place finishes in the ASUN Championship in 2016, 2017, and 2019, signifying the best finishes in program history. She was named the ASUN Coach of the Year in 2015-16 and has guided FGCU to some of its best statistical seasons in program history

FGCU teams have combined to win an incredible 85 conference regular season and tournament titles in just 14+ seasons at the Division I level. Additionally, in just nine seasons of D-I postseason eligibility, the Eagles have had a combined 42 teams or individuals compete in NCAA championships. Eight FGCU programs have earned a top-25 national ranking in their respective sport - including women's basketball (No. 21, 2020-21), beach volleyball (No. 20, 2021) and both men's soccer (2018, 2019) and women's soccer (2018) as three of the most recent. The 2019 Fall, 2020 Spring, 2020 Fall, and 2021 Spring semesters each saw another milestone reached as all 15 programs achieved a 3.0-or-higher team GPA in each. The Eagles also served an all-time high 7,200 volunteer hours in 2017 - being recognized as one of two runners-up for the inaugural NACDA Community Service Award presented by the Fiesta Bowl.
