KALAMAZOO, MI – Two people were arrested Saturday night after police seized drugs and two loaded guns during a traffic stop in Kalamazoo.

Officers conducted a traffic stop at 10:37 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in the 700 block of North Church Street, according to a news release from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested on a valid warrant, the release said.

During a search of the car, police found illegal narcotics and two loaded handguns. Police arrested two 36-year-old Kalamazoo residents on multiple weapons offenses and narcotics-related charges, according to the release.

Both suspects are lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail awaiting arraignment, authorities said.
