Traffic stop leads to crash in Gaithersburg; 6 taken into custody
Six people were taken into custody in Montgomery County after police say a traffic stop led to a crash in Gaithersburg on Monday.
Police say officers stopped a vehicle on southbound I-270 and Sam Eig Highway for a traffic violation, but when an officer approached the vehicle, it took off, then crashed near the 10100 block of Washingtonian Boulevard. [Fox 5]

Small Things Matter, a nonprofit created by a Montgomery Blair High School student, provided 600 spicy Indian curry meals Monday to anyone stopping by the high school in Silver Spring.

County works to promote confidence in COVID-19 vaccine
As Maryland state officials prepare for the coronavirus vaccines’ approval and distribution, Montgomery County Council members are focused on inspiring local confidence in the vaccine, especially in Black and Latino communities.
Council President Tom Hucker said efforts to instill trust in medical and public health programs are not new in Montgomery County. [WTOP]
