KILLEEN, TX — One suspect is in custody while another is still on the run after a traffic stop turned into a police pursuit Monday evening.
According to the Killeen Police Department, around 5:30 p.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle on Old FM 440 Road. There were two people inside the car.
Authorities say the driver refused to stop and a pursuit ensued.
The driver led officers to the area of Bull Run Drive and Fieldcrest Drive. That's when police say the driver came to a stop and both suspects took off on foot.
Officers conducted a search and took one suspect in custody. Killeen PD says they continued to search the perimeter but did not locate the second suspect.
An investigation is ongoing.
