Washington – Alonzo Mourning and Dikembe Mutombo probably didn’t recognize their alma mater as they sat courtside during Georgetown’s game against Syracuse on Saturday at the Capital One Arena.
Georgetown, the program that started with the hulking presence of the late John Thompson, the program that produced the likes of Mutombo and Mourning, the program now led by the greatest of all Hoya centers, Patrick Ewing, those Georgetown Hoyas went small to beat Syracuse.
