Williams' exceptional game tonight no surprise toHead Coach Vic Fangio, who was asked how impressed he was by Williams' performance following the game.
"Very much so," Fangio said. "But I've been impressed with him since the day he got here."
QB Teddy Bridgewater was also proud of Williams' contributions on offense vs. the Chiefs.
"I was very impressed with Javonte," Bridgewater said. "He did a great job of executing everything we asked of him tonight, whether it was protections, running the ball [or] catching the ball out of the backfield."
After Williams shouldered much of the offensive load vs. Kansas City, Bridgewater wants the rest of the team to step up around him and match his production.
"I'm happy that he had a game like he had tonight," Bridgewater said. "We've got to be better around him — if he's making plays like that, I think we've gotta all elevate our games as well."
