WARREN, Mich. – A traffic stop in Warren ended with the seizure of over one kilogram of fentanyl, along with other narcotics.
Warren police said a traffic stop initiated for a minor civil infraction on Tuesday (May 23) resulted in the recovery of of over 1 kilogram of fentanyl, 554 grams of methamphetamine, 270 plus grams of cocaine, and narcotic packaging materials.
The driver, 40-year-old Grosse Pointe man, Cymone Dorsey, was arrested after police found he had an invalid driver’s license as well as outstanding traffic warrants. Police searched the interior of the 2016 Jeep he was driving, where they found the narcotics.
The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office charged Dorsey with delivery/manufacture of fentanyl 1,000 grams or more (a life felony), delivery/manufacture of cocaine 50 to 450 grams (20-year-felony), and delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine (7-year felony).
Police said Dorsey has an extensive criminal history for various crimes including burglary, safe-breaking, and other felonies.
Dorsey was arraigned at the 37th District Court by Judge Bieda wherein a not guilty plea was entered. Bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety.
