LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was arrested Monday after he crashed into a car southwest of Lincoln and drove off, the sheriff’s office says.
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. near Southwest 12th Street and Denton Road.
Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said Richard Caruso, 57, ran through a stop sign and crashed into a Ford Focus. He then drove off.
Two occupants of the Ford were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, Houchin said. They have since been released.
Deputies recovered Caruso’s license plate at the scene of the crash and went to his home, where they found him and his truck.
Caruso was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an injury accident and violating a stop sign.
Houchin estimated that the vehicles had about $3,500 in damage.
