Former President Donald Trump made a stop at a restaurant in Miami after leaving his arraignment hearing at a federal courthouse, where he pleaded not guilty to charges of taking and keeping secret documents after being voted out of office.
He entered Versailles, a well-known Cuban establishment in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood, shortly after departing the federal courthouse where he was greeted by supporters in a campaign-style stop.
“We have a rigged deal here. We have rigged country. We have a country that's corrupt. We have a country that's got no borders. We have a country that's got nothing but problems,” he said. “We're a nation in decline -- and then they do this. You see the way the people are -- we love the people. And you see the crowds and everything else. We have a county that is in decline like never before and we can't let it happen."
Trump posed for photos inside the restaurant and offered to buy the patrons food.
At one point, the crowd sang “Happy Birthday” to him. Trump’s 77th birthday is on Wednesday.
"Some birthday. We've got a government's that's out of control,” he said in response.
He has stopped by Versailles in the past, including a 2016 visit with then-advisor Rudy Giuliani.
