The 2021 NFL Draft is upon us. The event kicks off Thursday evening in Cleveland, Ohio. The Jacksonville Jaguars hold the No. 1 overall pick and officially go on the clock at 8 p.m. ET.
ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network will air coverage of the first day. The TV schedule lists broadcasts running from 8 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Each team gets 10 minutes to make their selections in the first round, but some will not use the entire allotment. If all 32 picks took the full ten minutes, we’d be looking at 5 hours and 20 minutes. In reality, the first round will end at or before 11:30.
The second day of the NFL Draft gets going at 7 p.m. and is also scheduled to run until 11:30 p.m. It features the second and third rounds. Teams get seven minutes per pick in the second round and then five minutes for picks in the third round.
The third day of the draft gets underway at noon and is scheduled to run until 6 p.m. It features rounds four through seven. Teams get five minutes per pick in the fourth, fifth, and sixth rounds, and four minutes in the seventh round.
