Jimmie Johnson’s daughters will give the command to start the engines for Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Pocono 350 at Pocono Raceway.
While they won’t be at race track, Genevieve and Lydia will deliver the most famous words in motorsports via video for FS1 and the audio going to Motor Racing Network’s broadcast.
"We’ve already filmed it," Johnson told MRN. "We did a couple of takes. I’ll be interested to see which one makes it. Of course they wanted to be kind of crazy and silly with their command.
"They are very excited to be on TV."

Johnson, who will make his 38th start at Pocono from the 21st position, is in his final NASCAR Cup Series season as a full-time driver. He was the grand marshal earlier this month for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, giving the command from the cockpit of his No. 48 Chevrolet.
"They (Genevieve and Lydia) gave me a lot of advice when I gave the command to start engines at Atlanta," Johnson said. "I think Monday or Tuesday after the race we got the ask if they could give the command."
Johnson’s wife Chandra waved the green flag for the Auto Club 400 back on March 1 with Genevieve and Lydia alongside in the flag stand.
"To start the year off it was pretty busy as you can imagine," Johnson said. "They were involved and we were traveling together and just had such a great time and then the lock down happened. And ironically we got a little snapshot into what life might look like in the coming years of me being around more.
"I’m excited about the future. I’m excited for them to be a part of this final year."
For this weekend’s races, Pocono Raceway has changed one side of the start/finish from the painted word "Pocono" to "Jimmie."
Earlier this week, the Mattioli Foundation and Pocono Raceway, established the Jimmie Johnson Legacy Scholarship for students pursuing professional skills at the Monroe Career and Technical Institute.
"I am so thankful for the relationship I’ve had with the Mattioli family and everybody here involved at the speedway," Johnson said. "When they approached me with the idea, I couldn’t believe what I was initially reading that they wanted to do that in my name. It means the world to me."
Johnson will be part of Sunday’s Motor Racing Network pre-race show for the Pocono 350 with host Woody Cain. MRN’s broadcast starts at 3 p.m. ET.
