The NASCAR Cup Series returns to its largest and most unpredictable track on Sunday with the GEICO 500. Here is everything you need to know to get ready for the race at Talladega Superspeedway:
START TIME: 3 p.m. ET (2 p.m. local).
TV: Fox. Pre-race broadcast begins at 2:30 p.m. ET. (1:30 p.m. local).
RADIO: Motor Racing Network. STREAMING: Fox Sports Go.
RACE DISTANCE: 188 laps around the 2.66-mile track for a total of 500.08 miles.
STAGE LENGTHS (laps per stage): Stage 1: 60, Stage 2: 60, Stage 3: 68.
LAST RACE: Denny Hamlin swept all three stages of the Dixie Vodka 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on June 14 for his 40th career Cup win and third this season.
LAST YEAR: Ryan Blaney led 35 laps during the 2019 playoff race in October and nipped Ryan Newman by 0.007 seconds to take the win in the sixth closest finish in NASCAR Cup Series history. In last year's spring race, Chase Elliott won under caution, beating his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Alex Bowman as chaos broke out on the last lap.

STARTING LINEUP: NASCAR will not be holding practice or qualifying sessions for this race. The lineup was determined in part by a random draw for starting positions:
- 1-12: Random draw of charter teams holding those positions in owner points.
- 13-24: Random draw of charter teams holding those positions in owner points.
- 25-36: Random draw of charter teams holding those positions in owner points.
- 37-40: Open teams in order of owners points (no draw).
