Brittany Raynelle Large, 35, of Bellefontaine, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday in the area of State Route 366 near State Route 368.
Officers from the Washington Township Police Department on patrol in the area observed a blue Ford traveling the roadway being operated by a non-valid driver.
Officers initiated the stop and made contact with Large, noting that she appeared overly nervous for a simple traffic stop.
Canine Bruno was called to assist at the scene and alerted on the passenger side of the vehicle. The defendant advised officers she did have a crack pipe inside the vehicle.
Officers located a cigarette pack inside her hoodie pocket containing two white rocks that field-tested positive for crack cocaine.
Large was then arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail.
