SAGINAW – St. Louis’ football team kept on keeping on Friday.
As it was the Sharks rolled into Saginaw and soon thereafter rolled over host Valley Lutheran by a final of 42-7. With the win St. Louis improves to 4-1 overall and to 2-0 in conference action.
The 4-1 start is St. Louis’ best since 1995 when it also started 4-1 en route to a 7-2 record.
Ben Dousuah opened the scoring in the first with a 3-yard TD run and would later scamper in from 27 and 16 yards for scores.
Ignatius Jackson has rushing scores from 31 and 3-yards out also while Genaro Soto added in a 16-yard TD run. For the game the Sharks ran for 371 yards and passed for zero.
Soto led the way with 107 yards on 15 carries while Dousuah had 93 on seven carries.
Jackson also had 87 yards on eight carries.
SHA 58, Caseville 12
CASEVILLE – Sacred Heart’s offense is now firing on all cylinders.
One week removed from posting 72 points the Irish returned to action at Caseville Friday and promptly ran the hosts off the field by a final of 58-12.
Aidan Halliday led the charge with 125 yards rushing and one rushing TD while Gabe Ruggles also ran for 63 yards on seven carries and had a score.
Jason Boge and Brady Gruss also added in rushing TDs.
Ruggles completed 11-of-15 passes for 206 yards and four scores.
He hit Connor Stempky for two passing scores while Joe McDonald and Grady Pieratt both had one TD reception.
Gruss led the defense with seven tackles.
The Irish are now 3-2 overall and 2-1 in conference action.
Ithaca 41, Bullock Creek 19
MIDLAND – Ithaca ran its record to 3-2 overall and to 3-0 in conference play Friday as it ran over Midland Bullock Creek 41-19.
Quarterback Bronson Bupp led the way with 133 yards rushing on 18 carries. He ran for two scores.
He also completed 16-of-22 passes for 223 yards and four scores. He hit Ethan Hull, Noah Risner, Chad Pratt and Dalton Seaman with scoring passes.
Gavin Lester led the defense with nine tackles while Brandon Pass had three tackles for negative-31 yards.
