REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SINGAPORE -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited former first lady Ani Yudhoyono at Singapore's National University Hospital, here, on Thursday. He spent 30 minutes at the hospital and was received by Agus Yodhoyono, the son of former president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), and Hatta Rajasa, former minister and father in-law of SBY's another son.
The president, accompanied by First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo and his son Kaesang Pangarep, prayed for the recovery of the former first lady.
Ani has been treated at the Singapore hospital for blood cancer since Feb 2, 2019. Among prominent figures visiting Mrs Yudhoyono today were Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly Zulkifli Hasan, former governor of Jakarta Sutiyoso, and former foreign affairs minister Marty Natalegawa.
