LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A deputy was assaulted in Lehigh Acres on Sunday after a traffic stop, officials said.
Deputies arrested Jezan Deralus, 21, and Diaundra Brown, 23, in connection with the assault that happened at the Speedway gas station on Lee Boulevard.
Officials with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said that the deputy who was assaulted is ok.
Deralus is facing charges for resisting an officer with violence, battery on an officer and driving with a suspended license.
Brown is facing charges for resisting an officer with violence, battery on an officer and possession of drug equipment.
Both are booked at the Lee County Jail.
