Notre Dame Football: Irish ready to start answering Spring questions - Slap the Sign

paksijenong.blogspot.com

The Notre Dame Football team will kick off Spring practice in a week, and are ready to start answering questions heading into next season.

The Notre Dame Football team is entering a Spring of uncertainty, as there is a lot of work to do in terms of figuring out the depth chart at multiple positions. Luckily for the program, there is a ton of talent coming back, including some of the best players in the country at their specific positions, so the foundation is there for another incredible season in South Bend.

Kyren Williams at running back, Michael Mayer at tight end, and Kyle Hamilton at safety are elite players and will be counted on by head coach Brian Kelly to lead this team in 2021. The Irish are coming off another College Football Playoff appearance, but also another agonizing defeat in the playoffs, so there is a lot of work to be done.

Also, the Irish are welcoming Marcus Freeman as their new defensive coordinator, a man who is already making his impact on the recruiting trail.

Notre Dame football Spring practices kick off next week

It all will start to come together next week, as the Irish will kick off spring practice in preparation for the Blue-Gold game in May. The Irish have a ton of talent coming in as incoming freshmen, including defensive tackle Gabriel Rubio, who tweeted this out on Tuesday.

Outside of Rubio, there are so many exciting freshmen coming in as well, including Rocco Spindler and Blake Fisher, two guys who will challenge for starting jobs on the offensive line. The Irish have reloaded at wide receiver and cornerback as well, while some elite linebackers are arriving, which is Freeman’s area of expertise.

Then there is Tyler Buchner, the future for the program at quarterback, and someone who has not played since his junior season in high school. Can he step up and beat out Jack Coan and start as a freshman?

The Blue-Gold Game is expected to be played on May 1, as sources recently told Irish Illustrated. Until then, we will be all over the coverage of spring practices, as the Irish look to continue to build on the success of the 2020 college football season, as they hopefully return to some normalcy on campus, and in the world.
