REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received the credentials presented by 11 foreign ambassadors to Indonesia during a ceremony held at the Merdeka Palace, here, on Wednesday. Jokowi was accompanied by First Lady Iriana, while the 11 ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary were seen in the company of their respective wives.
Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi, Minister/State Secretary Pratikno, and Cabinet Secretary Cabinet Pramono Anung were present at the ceremony.
The new foreign ambassadors to Indonesia were Gustavo Ayares Ossandon of Chile, Riadh Dridi of Tunisia, Jarovlas Chlebo of Slovakia, Clarice Toatie Abas-Martotaroeno of Suriname, Carlos Antonio Moreno of Guinea-Bissau, Juan Camilo Valencia Gonzalez of Colombia, Esam A. Abid Althagafi of Saudi Arabia, Radames Jesus Gomez Azaje of Bolivarian Venezuela, Jurij Rifeij of Slovenia, Felix Ngoma of Congo, and Gediminas Varvuolis of Lithunia.
After receiving the credentials, President Jokowi held conversations with each of the ambassadors in the back veranda of the palace.
